Ray & Gwenn are selling their property in Puerto Rico, and will therefore no longer be taking reservations. Our closing date is in June 2024, and we will continue to personally host all guests that have bookings through then. We'd like to thank everyone who has stayed with us over the past 17+ years, and we hope that your memories of your time at Coqui's Hideaway are as good as our memories of hosting your families and friends!
We are excited to announce that Kaitlin Andryauskas will be the new owner of Coqui’s Hideaway effective 20 June 2024! Kaitlin has been hosting guests in Boston for 6 years, and has been spending several months a year in Puerto Rico since 2021. Her love of Puerto Rico, the rain forest, and hosting guests is contagious. We are happy to be passing the property into her hands.
Kaitlin is opening bookings from 01 July 2024 - 30 April 30 2025 and would like to give previous guests first dibs on dates. If you would like to book your next stay, please contact Kaitlin at RainforestRetreatsPR@gmail.com. You can also sign up for her monthly newsletter with updates here.

Thank you both for allowing us to stay in this lovely house. It truly was extraordinary! The house, and the atmosphere in general, was spectacular. We will definitely consider returning for a second vacation. Puerto Rico is amazing, and it's really inspiring to see how it has maintained its cultural and environmental roots while still progressing technologically (ex. the Arecibo Observatory). We loved our stay here and thank you once again for an outstanding accomodation!

Thanks to Ray and Gwenn for giving the O'Hare family a "Happy Thanksgiving" reunion. I enjoyed our two hikes, swims and bike ride along the ocean! Your apartment is lovely and comfortable. Times we spent taking in the view from the porch, with people I love, were cool. You are the best guest house keepers.

Spent a most enjoyable week surrounded by the natural beauty of Rio Grande. Was able to view the ocean and mountains while relaxing on the beautiful veranda at Coquis Hideaway. Touring Old San Juan, Fajardo, etc. with its quaint shops and narrow sidewalks is very interesting. Visiting the rainforest, waterfalls, nature refuge, lighthouses, Bacardi Rum Factory, the beautiful color of the ocean, alone, is worth the trip.

Did the bioluminensence tour in Fajardo - very cool. Old San Juan was also very interesting, especially the free rum drinks at the info booth. The best part of the trip was staying here among the Puerto Rican people - much better than a resort! Thanks!

Thanks for being just a great host ! We really enjoyed staying at Coquis Hideaway. The location of Coquis Hideaway is perfect - it's in the rain forest, secluded & private, though close to Luquillo, Fajardo and San Juan. I will definately recommend your place.
