Vieques Bioluminescent Bay Excursion

With this excursion, it is possible to visit the bio bay on Vieques without spending the night on Vieques!

You will board East Island's high-speed power catamaran at Puerto del Rey Marina in Fajardo around 5:00pm for a 45-minute ride over to the town of Isabel Segunda on Vieques. At the pier, you'll be taken by a taxi or van to a local restaurant for a casual dinner. After dinner, you'll board a bus for the ride to Mosquito Bay. At the bay, you'll board an electric pontoon boat for your guided tour into the bio bay where you'll be able to swim in the sparkeling water! After your trip in the bio bay, you'll travel back the way you came, arriving at the marina in Fajardo around 10:30pm.

The excursion includes catamaran transportation between Fajardo & Vieques, transportation & dinner on Vieques, the guided tour into Mosquito Bay, and Piña Coladas & snacks during the catamaran trip.

Sand & Sea Snorkeling Excursion

You will board the 62' "East Wind" Sailing Catamaran at Puerto del Rey Marina in Fajardo at 10:00am for a full day of sailing, snorkeling and beachcombing. A typical day of snorkeling includes about 2 hours at one of the deserted out-islands off of the north-east coast of Puerto Rico. Depending on conditions, you may visit the islands of Icacos, Lobos, Palaminos or Palaminitos. After your first snorkeling session, you'll be served buffet lunch. After lunch you'll have about another 2 hours of snorkeling over a reef or at a second deserted island. At the end of the day, a leisurely sail will get you back to the marina in Fajardo around 3:30pm.

You'll meet at Las Croabas in Fajardo. After receiving a brief "how to kayak" training, you'll paddle through the mangrove forest and into Fajardo's bio bay - Laguana Grande. In the bio bay, you'll be fascinated as the water lights-up with each stroke of your paddle and the fish leave trails in the water like shooting stars! Your guides will explain the organisms that cause the water to glow, they will discuss the importance of the mangrove ecosystem and they will point out the many different planets and constellations visible in the evening sky.
