We want to thank you for "the best days ever". What a terrific way to spend Christmas! Great tips on hiking and eating. We thank you for picking up groceries for us, the beautiful gift basket, fresh flowers and fresh fruit! Your property is amazing. We took loads of pictures. The gardens are impressive, the pool area is amazing. We spent 2 days hiking at El Yunque and touring the surrounding area. We got to the trails very early, and we were treated with our own private swimming before the crowds arrived. Your place is wonderful.

I love it here! We had so much fun swimming in the pool, eating fruit, walking on the lawn, watching bats and birds, and playing with Picacho. I wish we stayed longer. We even went hiking. I love it here.

You have thought of everything — very impressive! And this is coming from a very detail-oriented person. Great recommendations and advice, too. Wish we could have stayed longer — next time!

Thank you so much for all your help and suggestions that made our vacation in PR so enjoyable! We very much appreciated how you went the extra mile (directions, salad spinner, directions, mixer, directions, suggestions for excursions). We also appreciated all the "extras", like beach chairs, beach towels, spices, basic sauces, salad dressings, etc. We enjoyed the educational tour of your gardens, and especially the "fruits" of your labors. The gorgeous tropical flower arrangement and the "Taste of PR" gift basket were especially delightful. Thanks again for a great time.

Tara & Don have already told you how much they appreciated your place, and Al and I really enjoyed the grounds — how beautiful. And how productive. The lovely fresh papaya, grapefruit, bananas, and learning about the other plants, including the lovely orchids. Our vacation has been a dream, but true. Everyone has been so kind to us. Going home to -11°C.

Thank you, again! Our second trip here was more amazing than the first — we can't wait to come back. For this trip, we brought my parents and our children. The house was more than "roomy" for our group of six. Your hospitality and warm touches are very appreciated. Somehow, the gardens look even lovelier this visit! We can't wait to stay again soon!

Puerto Rico is home for me, but I enjoy bringing friends and family to the heart of the island. I picked Coqui's Hideaway after constantly reviewing the comments left by other guests and by all the great information they provide on PuertoRicoDayTrips.com. Ray and Gwenn, your home was everything I expected and so much more; it's beautiful, it's clean, it's inviting. We enjoyed the time of relaxing by the pool, and the awesome landscaping. Jesse and I will most definitely be back to stay. Thank you for the Welcome Basket. The homemade bread was delicious, and we make Pina Coladas on the first night.

It was amazing to stay here all week. Your hospitality was amazing, we enjoyed our honeymoon here very much. Your place is beautiful, and we are glad we found it. I will definitely be recommending it to friends. The pool area was so relaxing, the views that we were able to see were wonderful. We were able to visit many of the local attractions and they were amazing. The time flew, but it was fun. Thank you.

Thanks for providing a comfortable oasis for our stay in Puerto Rico. We enjoyed our stay. We went to Old San Juan two days. We went to El Morrow and Cristobal Forts. Those were the most fun part of our stay. We also went to the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico. We ate in a coffee shop in Old San Juan, Aromas. We recommend the mallorca bread. One day, we went to El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo. We got day passes which, including parking, cost $135 for both of us. This allowed us to take the ferry to Palaminos Island. This is a very pleasant resort, with clean beaches and great service, including restaurant. We also rode horses on the island. We picked up food from El Verde restaurant and ate it here — it was very good. Usually, Julie doesn't try new foods, but she enjoyed the mofongo. We, on one day, went to the rainforest. We hiked El Yunque trail. Your description of the trail was spot-on. It was a lot longer hike than we are used to. The views at the top were fantastic. Our favorite part of the stay in Puerto Rico was going to your pool. It is so inviting and relaxing. We want to come back again. Perhaps 2014.

Now it is time to head back home and beat Hurricane Sandy to Virginia. We had a great week in Puerto Rico — our only regret is not having more time at Coqui's Hideaway. What a beautiful place! Ray and Gwenn — you thought of everything. After arriving so much later than expected, what a welcome sight. The house is perfect — more than we expected, and what a relaxing way to spend our last day. The grounds and views were awesome! Thank you so much. We hope to be back for a much longer visit soon.

Thank you so much for the wonderful week spent with you! Coqui's Hideaway is a magical place. All the activities and trips you took us on — one was better than the last. But snorkeling was the best! You are great hosts.

We had a wonderful week at Coqui's Hideaway. We loved wandering around the property and spending time in the pool. Ray and Gwenn we super accommodating. They greeted us upon arrival, and had a wonderful basket of local goodies, fresh baked banana bread, and fresh picked fruit from around the property. The binders they compiled of sites to see were most helpful! They made great suggestions for places to visit with our toddler. We went to the beach in Luquillo, Arecibo, El Camuy Caves, the halederia in Lares, and Juan Diego Falls in El Yunque. This being our second visit to Puerto Rico (our first trip was 5 years ago) we definitely had a more relaxing time this trip. We even celebrated Sophia's second birthday! Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

Thank you for all your hospitality! We felt right at home from the first night. You have thought of everything that a guest might need. We enjoyed your restaurant suggestions and ate too well! Loved the pool and hope the "cabana boy" will be in place for our next visit.

A tremendous thank you for sharing the beauty of hour home, and knowledge of this enchanted island with our family. From the welcome basket to the pool and walks exploring the grounds, this was a relaxing and amazing stay at Coqui's Hideaway. Your recommendation to try Luquillo kiosks for authentic Puerto Rican food was right on the mark, and the bio bay kayaking trip was fascinating! El Verde Restaurant was also enjoyable, and eating there a second time in our short stay was a must-do. We all agreed we'd have to come back soon, so until then - best of health and prosperity.

Thank you for the use of your beautiful hideaway. Everything was perfect, and the view was fantastic. We enjoyed eating at La Casita Blanca (2x), Antijitos Puertoricquenos (2x) Ritchies (what a view), and our new favorite in Old San Juan Bistro San Germain. Our day trip to Ponce (where we ate at Lola's) included a glass bottom boat ride (only $6 per person)in the bio bay in Parguera. We loved the pool and the veranda. You keep a very clean and welcoming place. We will be back!

Our stay here was amazing. We loved your movies and TV. We enjoyed the pool (pretty at night with the light). This was our first time here, and we didn't know where to go, so we just called Ray and he told us exactly where to go. Service here is good - no, way more than good - and we like the WIFI. Some places we have stayed in didn't have WIFI, so we are happy. I would definitly tell a friend to here here. This is definitely a place we are coming back to with my family, or more of my family at least.

Thanks, Ray & Gwenn, for another wonderful vacation. This trip was our daughter's graduation present, and was fantastic. We visited Old San Juan, did a day of snorkeling with East Island Excursions, and took in the sun at Luquillo Beach. You have a great home, and we greatly appreciate your hospitality. We hope to visit again!

Great trip! We really enjoyed the beautiful villa and land. Thanks for all the recommendations! We loved El Yunque, the kioskos, El Verde down the road, the Barefoot Catamaran, and Monserrate. The pool and view was so relaxing! The house was so clean and more than we expected. We will be back!

Great getaway! We stayed half our trip on the surfing side of the island in Rincon, and the other half here in the mountains. Little did we know one can do the beach and waterfalls in one day. Fabulous info in your binders. We enjoyed — with a 7 & 9 year old ... • El Yunque — Juan Diego and La Mina Falls, the former our favorite, • the beach at Balneario Monserrate, • Sushi Boat, • Kiosks. The house was more than expected. Fabulous!

Thank you very much for such a beautiful place to stay. We didn't want to leave. We walked the grounds, make BBQ, used the pool. We will definitely be coming back. And, we will suggest Coqui's Hideaway in Puerto Rico when our friends and family are wanting a suggestion on vacations. We almost canceled our ATV reservations just to stay here all day.

The nicest place we've every stayed, much better than a hotel! Ray & Gwenn are always one step ahead of you, anticipating your every need. Such attention to detail! LOVED the welcome basket and banana bread and fruit and flowers ... The property is so lovely and the perfect place to get away from it all, especially after staying in San Juan a few nights. We hiked in El Yunque one day, went mini-boating the next, checked out the kiosks in Luquillo, and just relazed around the house, swam in the pool. Wish we were staying longer, and hope to be back sooner rather than later!

Thanks for your kindness. The flowers on the dinner table were awesome, as were the grounds, pool, and view from the veranda. Your home was the perfect base of operation for our family. Your knowledge of the businesses really helped us plan activities for 3 teenagers. My favorites: • Mini-boating across choppy seas to beautiful Palimio Island, • body surfing in beautiful Flamenco Beach, • snorkeling in Culebra, • hiking in El Yunque, going under the falls at La Mina, • relaxing to the rain and coqui chorus on your veranda. You are blessed and you are a blessing. I hope we meet again in the mansions prepared for us in eternity.

I really am enjoying my stay at Coqui's Hideaway. The grounds are beautiful, and the views are absolutely gorgeous! Everything was very thoughtfully placed and well organized. Thank you for your guidance on places to eat and where to go. They were all very helpful. You both have done a lot to make my stay in Puerto Rico very memorable. I hope to see you again sometime soon. I'll miss falling asleep to those miniature opera singers.

We are so glad we broke our 8-year tradition and try some place new in Puerto Rico! Coqui's Hideaway has been such a treat, and Ray & Gwenn, you are the most gracious and generous hosts we have ever met. Tim love, loved, LOVED the banana bread. The welcome basket was a beautiful touch, and your generosity with your gardens will always be remembered. We are afraid to spread the news of how great this place is because we want it to be available for our return trip to PR. Alas — we have already failed at keeping it a secret. We can't help but sing your praises to everyone we meet.

We loved this hideaway up in the rainforest. It was comfortable, relaxing, and felt like home. One of our favorite things we did was to have a poolside BBQ while look at the beautiful views, and taking a swim in the pool (still a little cold here in February, but nice). We also loved the biobay kayak tour. Hopefully, next time we'll get to Culebra or a zipline. This really was a relaxing vacation after our busy cruise vacation. We loved it.

Enjoyed our visit immensely. Quiet, relaxing ... definitely felt like a hideaway. The landscape is beautiful with gorgeous views. The wildlife is amazing — lizards, birds, coqui frogs. We'll definitely be back but unfortunately not as soon as we'd like.

Thanks so much for all the extras. We didn't expect the welcome basket with pina colada fixings, the fruit, and bread etc. Your information binders were very helpful to find out where to go in El Yunque, Old San Juan, and Luquillo. The house was very nice to come back to after a long day away. Very comfortable — didn't need AC except at night for white noice. Thanks for the special guided tour up to the falls and all the conversations about the Puerto Rican lifestyle. It will be hard to go back to winter in Alexandria, VA.
