Current COVID-19 Restrictions (updated 06 May 2021) —
🚩 The new executive order (EO-2021-032) goes into effect 10 May 2021 and will be in effect through 23 May 2021
🏠 Curfew is from 12midnight until 5am. Businesses/services can function 5am to 11pm.
😷 Masks covering mouth & nose, as well as social distancing, are required in public.
🏖️ Beaches, pools & bodies of water (rivers, lakes, etc) are permitted to be open from 5am to 11pm. Masks are required while not in the water. Only small groups of people from the same family permitted on beaches, etc. Social distance of 10' required between groups on beaches, etc. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited on beachs, etc.
🛒 Stores, businesses & banks may be open 5am to 11pm at 30% capacity. Supermarkets are exempt from the capacity limit.
🍽️ Restaurants may be open 5am to 11pm. Groups should be 6 people or fewer per table. Indoor restaurants are limited to 30% capacity. Outdoor restaurants may operate at 100% capacity, though must maintain 6' distance between parties.
🎲 Casinos are permitted to be open 5am to 11pm at 30% occupancy.
🏋 Gyms are permitted to be open 5am to 11pm at 30% capacity.
🍿 Movie theaters are permitted to be open 5am to 11pm at 30% capacity.
🍺 Chinchorros, "party buses", bars & clubs remain closed.
⛵ Use of motorized watercraft is permitted. Marinas are permitted to be open. Individual watercraft - kayaks, stand-up paddleboard (SUP), and jet skis - are permitted. It is prohibited to attach boats together ("rafting").
⛴️ Tourists are permitted on the ferry to both Culebra and Vieques, unless the island mayor says differently.
🚌 AMA buses & Tren Urbano will operate with COVID restrictions
🌳 El Yunque National Forest is open, but reservations are required for entry (available at Recreation.gov)
⚠️ All travelers arriving in Puerto Rico are required to submit a travel declaration with contact tracing info, & proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular-based (PCR) test. If you do not have negative results when you arrive to PR, you have 48 hours to produce those results. Otherwise you will be fined $300 per person.
